My name is Stephanie Gokarn, and I am a student teacher at the University of Lethbridge. In my past life, I worked as a Speech and Language Education Assistant. It was this exposure to the classroom, and a passion for helping kids succeed that inspired me to become a teacher. I have taken the Hanen training as well as other professional development specifically geared towards children with special needs. My husband (a grade six teacher) and I have three great kids and one noisy dog. We have made Lethbridge, AB our home for the past 18 years.

This is the noisy dog, Kaiser.
These are the three great kids: London, Isaac, and Dylan.
As the poster to the left suggests, my values and ideals have changed, or mellowed somewhat in the past 20 years.

Because my life is so full, I relish the quiet moments, where I can climb into a comfy chair, pull out a good read, and promptly fall asleep. Simple pleasures!
